The Movement Doc of Texas
The Recovery Room in New Braunfels, TX
Designed for athletes and active individuals, our Recovery Room gives your body the tools it needs to recover, recharge, and prepare for what’s next: infrared sauna, cold plunge, and Normatec compression, all in one private session.
- No physical therapy appointment required
- 30 or 60-minute sessions
- Book online, show up, recover
Hard training, long runs, a tournament weekend, or just a week on your feet: recovery is where your body adapts to the work. The Recovery Room puts the tools athletes rely on under one roof, so you can book a session, show up, and recover. You do not need to be a physical therapy patient to use it.
What’s Included
Three recovery tools, one session.
Use any combination during your time. Most people move between two or three.
Infrared sauna
Infrared heat warms the body directly rather than heating the air around you, so it feels gentler than a traditional sauna at a lower air temperature. Many people use it to loosen up, relax, and unwind after training.
Cold plunge
Short, controlled cold-water immersion. Athletes commonly use it to feel fresher between hard sessions and to take the edge off post-workout soreness. Start with short dips and build up as you get used to it.
Normatec compression
Air-powered compression boots that inflate and release in waves from your feet upward. You sit back and relax while your legs are worked, a favorite after long runs, leg days, and travel.

Book 60 MinutesHow It Works
Book it, show up, recover.
- Book online. Choose a 30 or 60-minute session in our booking system. No evaluation or referral needed.
- Show up ready. Bring a swimsuit or clothes you do not mind getting wet, a towel if you prefer your own, and water.
- Recover your way. Move between the sauna, cold plunge, and compression boots in whatever order suits you.
A common approach is to start with compression, then alternate the sauna and the cold plunge. If building muscle is your main goal, many people keep the cold plunge away from their heavy strength days, since cold right after lifting may blunt some of the gains.
Recovering from an injury?
The Recovery Room helps you feel better between sessions, but it does not replace a plan for an injury that keeps coming back. If something hurts, start with a 90-minute physical therapy evaluation and we will work out what is driving it.
